All the materials used in producing Phoenix architectural hinges comply with the appropriate standards. Grade 304 Austenitic stainless steels are the main component in the stainless steel ranges.

For installation in very harsh environments hinges can be manufactured, to special order, in Marine grade 316 stainless steel. These grades of stainless steel meet or surpass EN 10088. 

CS4 rolled steel which meets BS 1449 is used for Phoenix mild steel hinges and Cooke Brothers brass hinges are produced from brass alloys that conform to BS EN 1652 1998.
