Lift-off hinges are handed and must be specified to operate in either a clockwise closing or an anti-clockwise closing direction. The leaf with the pin in the upwards position must be fitted to the frame. Hinge operation is either clockwise closing or anti-clockwise closing and should be specified using Left hand clockwise closing and Right Hand anti-clockwise closing convention.
